Institutional Shareholder Services (“ISS”) recently published the results of its Annual Global Policy Survey. The annual survey provides feedback from various constituents to ISS on areas of potential policy change for 2022 and beyond.

For the Canadian issuer community this year, virtual meetings are an entirely new experience. The considerations involved in the set up and execution of an issuer’s first virtual meeting can be time consuming and often feel overwhelming. Issuers are also concerned that voter turnout will be impacted, that all shareholders and proxyholders will be able to fully participate, vote and engage in the meeting, and that the meeting will run smoothly and efficiently.
